About the Role
Our Nordic In-House Brands division is looking for a driven and enthusiastic new team member to join us with the mission to shape the future product offering in the Nordic market within Beauty and Hair tools & accessories (“Beauty Trends” category).
For this role as Product Development Manager Beauty Trends, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and driving relevant and commercial products that meet the targets for growth and profitability within our portfolio of In-House brands across the Matas and KICKS retail banners. You will be responsible for leading your own category of brands and products within Beauty and hair accessories and tools across all four markets, with focus on developing and growing established brands such as KICKS Beauty, Flaer and M. Cosmetics, as well as a wide and diverse range of white-label Beauty products.
You will be the eyes and ears towards the outside world, monitoring trends, market dynamics, and consumer data together with your colleagues and strategic suppliers, to develop an appealing and competitive product assortment, and to ensure that we have the best customer offer within the Nordic Beauty market!
The role is located in our KICKS HQ in Stockholm, but regular travel to Matas HQ in Copenhagen will be expected. The team is sitting 50/50 across the two locations.
Responsibilities:
As our Product Development Manager Beauty Trends, you'll be responsible for:
- Define the New Trend Brand Strategy - from idea to product launch readiness, both for your respective In-House brands, as well as white-label assortment.
- Be the front runner of finding new products, subcategories, and trends with a strong feel for the market dynamics and customer wants, both for our branded and non-branded assortment.
- Secure the products reflect the brand identity and fulfill the brand promise.
- Be accountable to meet the targets for price, quality, timing, sustainability, and purpose of the product.
- Own the various Innovation Gates for your respective product launches, incl. COGS margin and revenue estimate.
- Built and manage effective and productive supplier relations both nationally and globally.
- Collaborate closely with counterparts in the related functions such as, but not limited to, controlling, quality, marketing, logistics, sourcing, commercial activation and category management.

- Strong Business sense and a result-oriented mindset.
- Analytical skills combined with a passion for trends, innovation, and design.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects simultaneously with several stakeholders and geographical locations.
- Strong collaboration skills both internally and externally.
- Approach challenges with a solution-oriented mind-set.
- Experience from a similar role within global product development and sourcing, or experience with working with Asia, is a plus.
- Language skills: Swedish and English is a requirement, Danish proficiency is a plus.
